About this development
Development of a proposed coal mining operation, which will consist of opencast and underground mining activities. Opencast mining will make use of the sequential lateral rollover mining technique. Underground mining will consist of the bord and pillar mining technique. The entire mining operation, on the area applied for, will take approximately 3 years to complete. The coal mining operation will be on the remaining extent of portion 4 and portions 3, 20, 40 and 42 of the farm Klipfontein 568 JR situated in the Magisterial District of Witbank in Mpumalanga.
