About this development
Development of a R3 billion project, at the Harmony Gold Mine near the R30 and surrounding the water pans. Die Vallei van Goud, will be located in the Free State Gold Fields in Matjhabeng and Welkom, Free State. The project will be developed in 3 phases. The first phase will consist of a Bird Park, Art and Culture Village, Museum and a Wild Live Reserve. The second phase will consist of a waterfront shopping centre, the upgrading of the St. Helena Mashie Golf Club, a crocodile farm, a water-world sport and recreation centre, an amusement park, chalets and a caravan park. The third phase will consist of a underground Hotel, underground restaurant, new Golf course designed by Garry Player and Golf Estate consisting of 340 houses and offices.
