About this development
Construction of the Guarri photovoltaic solar energy facility on Portions 24, 26, 27, 29 and 30 of the Farm Blaauwbank 241 JQ located approximately 18km north of the town of Brits, North West. The SEF will comprise of several arrays of PV panels and associated infrastructure including: PV modules and mounting structures, inverters and transformers, battery energy storage system (BESS), site and internal access roads, operation and Maintenance buildings including a gate house, ablution facilities, security building, control centre, offices, warehouses and workshops for storage and maintenance. The facility will have a contracted capacity of up to 80MW and a development area of 302.2ha is under assessment. The exact GPS coordinates are not known and have been estimated 25°27'35.5"S 27°46'12.8"E
