Grid Power Connection Project, Mali

The project involves the supply and installation of a 92 km grid connection from Sikasso to the Symana mine and will replace on-site diesel generation and significantly lower cash costs. The full financial benefit of the connection will be determined following a conclusions to negotiations with the Mali Power Authority on the key issues associated with the construction, operation and maintenance of the connection. The Symana gold project is located in the south of Mali, West Africa approximately 30kms from the Côte d’Ivoire border and 300km southeast of the capital, Bamako. Estimated project value : $42,2 million.
