Project overview
About this development
Upgrading of the Green Valley bulk water and sewer infrastructure, located approximately 15km from Plettenberg Bay, Western Cape. Water infrastructure upgrades: The project involves upgrading the bulk water pipeline from N2 towards Green Valley and Wittedrift, as well as constructing new water infrastructure facilities. Upgrades to the existing Green Valley pump station: The existing Green Valley pump station structure at the Wittedrift Reservoir site will be replaced with a new top structure to house the existing pumps and controls. The pump station will also be equipped with a new pumping component that will transfer water via a new rising main to the proposed Green Valley reservoir. The pump station will thus have a new and “old” component pumping in separate directions to the new reservoir and existing Green Valley reservoirs, as backup. The GPS marker has been placed at the existing Wittedrift reservoir, 34°00'40.4"S 23°20'14.3"E.
