About this development
Reclamation of gold from a historical tailings dam situated within the town of Sabie, in Mpumalanga. The tailings dam is the waste product of the historic Glynns Lydenburg Mining Company. The tailings material will be transported by means of trucks to a heap leach pad site located approximately 4,5km south west of the historical tailings dam. The proposed extraction method is heap leaching where a weak solution of sodium cyanide is leached through the historical tailings material to reclaim the gold.
