About this development

Construction of the Fobane Water Supply Scheme - Phase 1G: Completion of Kinira Drift Water Treatment Works (WTW) in Kinira Drift, Eastern Cape Province. The scope of works comprises of: Reinforced concrete structures; cascade aeration structure; flocculation channels; vertical up flow sedimentation tank; rapid gravity sand filters; clear water tank; re-circulation pump station and high lift pump station sub structure. Building work: Chemical dosing and administrator building; chlorine building; operator dwellings; high lift pump station building superstructure; filter gallery superstructure. Ancillary works: Earthen sludge lagoons; earthen raw water balancing dams; 4km gravel access road with associated stormwater management infrastructure; segmented block paving for internal access roads; interconnecting pipework and specials between structures; security and cattle proof fencing; valve chambers and manholes; structural steel items and hand railing.
