About this development
Construction of the infrastructure and services for a R1-billion tourism development within Algoa Bay, located near the Coega Industrial Development Zone (IDZ) and the Addo Elephant Park. The new development will include 500 sites for freehold and 220 leasehold titles. The development will consist of five cultural villages, each containing its own theatre, restaurant, accommodation, arts facilities and a man-made lake. The development will also incorporate residential and public facilities, which will include commercial office space, a lodge, caravan park, sports and recreation facility and an eco-logically sensitive area. Situated on the N2 between Bluewater Bay and St George’s Strand and only a kilometre away from the Coega IDZ, the development will take up 150 ha of pristine Algoa Bay coastline, which is the last available undeveloped sea-front site between Cannon Rocks and Cape Recife in the Eastern Cape.
