Construction of Phase 1 of a new eco-city project in El-Alamin in Egypt. Phase 1 construction consists of an international tourism centre, galleries, a museum and a university. 10 000 residential units will also be constructed. The area stretches across 48 000 feddans and costs a total of $337 million. The city will feature various facilities including luxury hotels, sports clubs, theatres,cinemas, a business centre, a scientific research centre as well as residential units. It is to be built over 3 phases. A desalination plant and solar energy stations will also be constructed.
