Refurbishment of the 2 storey Eastern Cape Development Corporation (ECDC) office building and 2 x 4 storey face brick office blocks (Cluster E) located at 24 High Street, Butterworth, Eastern Cape. The project value is R 22 453 874,78. The scope of works includes: Demolition works of internal and external brick walls. Demolition works of various types of partitioning. Removal and replacement of structural steel fire escape stairs. Remove and replace all asbestos gutters and rainwater pipes. Remove and replace all asbestos roof coverings to ECDC Building. Repairs and waterproofing of damaged flashings. Removal of existing timber skirting and replace with new. Removal of existing floor finishes and replace with new. Repairs on damaged plastered walls internal and external. Replace damaged ceiling. Repainting of internal areas including ceilings. Repainting of external plastered walls. Replacement of steel windows with aluminium including burglar bars and blinds. General repairs or replacement to internal doors, door frames and ironmongery. General repairs or replacement to existing joinery work including aligning of doors and replacing missing parts. General alteration works. Repairs to existing electrical works and including issuing of compliance certificates. Repairs to existing plumbing items including replacement of geysers. Installation of firefighting water tank.
