About this development
The construction of a 250 bed new mental health hospital with related external services, electrical and mechanical installations and siteworks at the Dora Nginza Hospital site in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape Province. The work consists of the following: Demolition of existing buildings, construction of a double storey administration building(5376m), single storey occupational therapy building (1835m), seven single storey ward blocks (8880m) , single storey forensics building (774m), single storey resource centre and hall (598m), single storey kitchen, staff utilities and workshop building (3020m), link corridors, security gatehouse and water tower all with piled foundations,rib and hollow block floor slabs, structural steel roof trusses and metal roof sheeting.
