About this development

Construction of a railway station for the proposed Coega Ridge Housing Development. The site is located on portions of the farms Welbadachtsfontein 300, Coega 313, Coegas Kop 316 and Coegas Kop 314 and lies approximately 20 km north of the Port Elizabeth CBD, at an intersection of the R334 (to Uitenhage) and R335 (to Addo) and adjacent to the Motherwell precinct in the Eastern Cape Province. The Coega Industrial Development Zone (IDZ) lies to the east of the site. The project falls within the boundaries of the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro (NMBM). The project site is approximately 3 200 ha in extent and the R334 (to Uitenhage) separates the proposed development from the existing Motherwell residential area to the south. The development has an overall value of more than R 6-billion. 33°46'24.1"S 25°35'24.5"E
