Construction of the land-based aquaculture which allocate 100Ha to marine and 250Ha to freshwater aquaculture by 2020, to include abalone farming, finfish farming and another species that could potentially be farmed is seaweed. It will also include processing facilities, fish feed and training and R&D. This development will be located on Zone 10 of the Coega IDZ, in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape Province.
