About this development
Construction of the terminal expansion at the Chief Dawid Stuurman International Airport, on Allister Miller Drive, Walmer, Gqeberha, Eastern Cape. The scope of works includes: A wrap-around concept on the existing terminal by adding a 10m module to the landside, two 10m modules to the east, and four 10m modules on the west side. The existing airside waiting / holding lounge is extended by 5 meters (1⁄2 module) to airside, adding 50% to the floor area of the holding lounges. The spine is the landside concourse, creating improved access to terminal processors and to commercial and retail facilities for all passengers. Other facilities in the scope will include but not limited to: IT server rooms and switch rooms, telecom, PABX and PA server rooms; office components related to ACSA operations; common use restrooms, training facility and boardrooms; ablution facilities; plant rooms (inclusive of air conditioning and HVAC fixed installations; goods screening point; public viewing deck; facilities for assisted passengers; prayer rooms; way finding / directional signage; ambiance and theming; retail and food & beverage; integrated advertising screens; furnishings, fittings, landscaping, legibility; passenger amenities (kid’s playrooms, charging points, baby change facilities, prayer rooms, viewing deck, clocks).
