Project overview
About this development
The Booysendal concession is located in the southern compartment of the eastern limb of the Bushveld Complex. It is situated approximately 35km from the town of Mashishing (formerly Lydenburg), straddling the border of Limpopo and Mpumalanga provinces in South Africa. The concession hosts both the UG2 and Merensky ore bodies. Northam Platinum is now considering developing the Booysendal South property. The Booysendal South project (formerly the Everest mine) ,has been divided into four modular bord-and-pillar mining modules, which will be accessed from a common central portal complex, which minimises its environmental impact and reduces capital requirements.
