About this development
A scoping study on the Netiama Lodes at the Balogo Gold Project in Burkina Faso in West Africa envisages a contractor-mined openpit, delivering 440 000t of ore to a modularised processing plant at average grade of 9.3g/t gold. An estimated 4.5 million tons of waste rock will also be mined and placed on a wasterock dump during the two year mine life. Tailings from the processing plant will be disposed of in an adjacent paddock tailings storage facility. Total capital expenditure for a new modular plant is estimated at A$39 million.
