Zanaga Chrome (Pty) Ltd is proposing to mine chrome, iron, nickel, platinum group metals and zinc on the Farm Alverton 274 KT in Tubatse district, Limpopo. Alverton 274 KT is located under Greater Tubatse Local Municipality, in Steelpoort, which lies in the eastern end of the Limpopo Province some 150km southeast of the city of Polokwane and approximately 300km southwest and 350 southwest of Pretoria and Johannesburg respectively. The applied mineral resource will be exploited using open cast mining technique.
