The City’s Urban Mobility Directorate has announced planned roadworks along Camps Bay Drive, Buitengracht Street and New Church Street.
The project started 0n 15 April and will last until May 22, 2024.
The roadworks will happen at night from 7:30pm to 05:30am, Monday to Friday, and will involve resurfacing, asphalt replacement and reinstatement of road markings.
To minimise disruption for road users, the impact will be kept to a minimum with half-width road closures while work is conducted on one lane at a time. During the day, traffic along these routes will flow normally.
‘Road maintenance is critical for everyone’s safety and the longevity of our infrastructure, and we thank motorists for their patience while these projects are underway,’ said the City’s mayoral committee member for urban mobility, Rob Quintas.
