A new 11,000 sqm mall will launch in Polokwane, Limpopo next month and will feature several prominent retailers in the food, finance, health and lifestyle sectors.

The shopping centre was announced in September 2022 and named The Greenery after the old municipal nursery previously on the site.

The mall’s developers, the Moolman Group, said that the new mall is located near schools, guesthouses and medical facilities.

“Shoppers prefer to support retailers in the vicinity of their homes and those that offer not only localised convenience but a beautiful, comprehensive, and comfortable shopping experience,” the group said.

“These prized decision-making factors, combined with safe and secure on-grade parking, modern architecture, greenery, top tenant selection, the latest anchor interior specifications and a variety of everyday favourite brands, make for exceptional trading potential.”

According to the mall’s website, it will have 28 stores, with tenants including:

  • Woolworths
  • Checkers
  • Checkers Liquor
  • Meat World
  • Debonairs
  • Mugg and Bean
  • Seattle Coffee
  • Pie Crew
  • Nando’s Drive Thru
  • Rocomamas
  • Capitec
  • Nedbank ATM
  • PnP Clothing
  • Miladys
  • Absolute Pets
  • Post Net
  • Crazy Store
  • West Pack
  • Pet Zone
  • Clicks Pharmacy
  • Specsavers
  • Intercare
  • MRP Home

The mall will also have 426 parking spots, easy CBD access, and thoroughfare to major destinations.

“The site is located right at the heart of a network formed by two main arteries, namely Grobler and Thabo Mbeki Streets, in central Polokwane,” the website states.

“These roads converge and link up with the N1 and the R71 and provide access to established neighbourhoods nearby. The planned development aims to leverage this linkage by constructing entrances that feed into both main arteries.”

Those in the area and mall enthusiasts will be able to visit The Greenery once it is opened on Thursday, 26 October.
