About this development
Development of the Zizabona Transmission Interconnector Project. This project involves the utilities from four countries mainly Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana and Namibia. Taking the first 2 letters of these countries, the Zizabona Transmission Project was born. The four utilities Zesa, Zesco, BCP and NamPower intend to undertake construction of a high voltage power transmission interconnection between Hwange 330 kV Substation in Zimbabwe, the proposed Victoria Falls switching station in Zimbabwe, the proposed Livingstone substation in Zambia and the Zambezi substation in Namibia.
