Mozambique's Airport Company ADM, has issued a multi-million dollar tender to upgrade Zambezia’s Quelimane airport, including the building of new airport shops and office premises, in the north of the country, in preparation for an expected rise in tourism ahead of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. The upgrade is valued at US$1.5 million and will increase the airport’s capacity to handle both passengers and cargo.
