Malawi's Ministry of Energy has confirmed plans to build a coal-fired power plant in the Kammwambe area, in Zalewa in Malawi. The project will add 300MW to the national power grid. The plant will be designed potentially to increase generation capacity of up to 100 MW in future. Estimated project value : $600 million.
