Project overview
About this development
Yaoure is a Birimian greenstone gold deposit located in central Côte d’Ivoire. Amara has a 90% interest in the project, whilst the remaining 10% interest is held by the Côte d’Ivoire government. Yaoure (previously Angovia) is located in a rural area with a population of around 2,400, approximately 40km north-west of the Côte d’Ivoire capital, Yamoussoukro. Amara Mining is now focused on a two-fold strategy: to delineate sufficient sulphide resources to sustain a CIL operation, whilst at the same time continuing to search for lateritic and saprolitic oxide resources which could result in an early re-opening of the previous heap leach operation. The estimated development capital cost is $262.7million.
