About this development
The proposed iron ore mining development and associated infrastructure will be located on the farms Kalkfontein 615 LS, Roodewal 808 LS, Ruigedraai 809 LS and Makotopong 1200 LS near Polokwane in Limpopo. The project will first focus on farm Kalkfontein 615 LS (portions 1,2,6 and RE) on which the following infrastructure is planned - opencast mine development, waste rock and topsoil stockpiles, processing plant, haul, maintenance and access roads, stormwater management infrastructure, office buildings, diesel storage tanks, water supply pipelines, electricity supply power lines and tailings disposal facility.
