About this development
Construction of the 120MW run-of-river Volobe Amont hydro power project, Madagascar. The Volobe Amont (Upstream Volobe) hydroelectric project site is located 30 kilometers west-northwest of Toamasina. The hydro power project will be developed by Compagnie générale hydroélectrique de Volobe, whose initial shareholders are Jovena (Axian Group) and Colas, soon to be joined by SN Power and Africa 50, the 120 MW Volobe hydroelectric project will generate an estimated 750 GWh/year on average.
