About this development
AngloGold Ashanti has reconstituted the project into an upgrade/expansion of the existing uranium recovery plant to service all three uranium-bearing operations in a single plant. The upgrade/expansion will increase production from the current 1,2 million pounds to 1,4 million pounds a year, to about 1,8 million pounds a year in future. The estimated project value is R500 million.
