About this development
Upgrading of the Mwigumbi - Maswa - Bariadi - Lamadi Road (171 Km) in Tanzania, to bitumen standard, Lot 1: Mwigumbi - Maswa Section (50.3km). The works consists of upgrading of 50.3 km of the existing unpaved road to bitumen standard with a 6.5 m wide surfaced carriageway and 1.5m wide shoulders on either side. Pavement construction shall comprise 150 mm improved sub grade (G7); 150 mm improved sub grade (G15); 200 mm of cement stabilized sub base (C1); 150 mm crushed aggregate base course (CRR) and double bituminous surface dressing wearing course on carriageways and shoulders. The works also include demolition and construction of concrete culverts and bridges.
