Upgrading of CSIR Campus Building 53

Construction works for the upgrading, repairs and renovations of CSIR Campus Building 53 for the Department of Science and Technology located on Meiring Naude Road, Brummeria, Pretoria, Gauteng. The contract value is R199 857 009.55 (Incl VAT). The Scope of works involve transforming certain parking areas into additional storage rooms. Expansion of the guard house to accommodate additional security personnel. Waterproofing on the retaining walls in the basement to prevent water penetration. Replacement of office carpets with porcelain tiles. Full renovation and reconfiguration of the canteen, including the addition of a new paraplegic toilet and staff change rooms. Provide ramp to the timber deck for disabled people. Broken curtain wall glass to be replaced and seal joints neatly completely close the bottom rail of the curtain with bird's mesh and fill up the ground with concrete and made good all surfaces.
