Upgrade of the Doornfontein Railway Station which will be a part of the needed projects in the Johannesburg area, Gauteng, for the 2010 Soccer World Cup. The station will be a major link between Ellis Park and the rest of Johannesburg for spectators using the rail transportation system. They will have better access to Ellispark stadium from the new station, which will become a double-story building. Travellers will enter the station via the first floor which will house the ticket offices, security, a satellite police station with holding cell and retail offerings thus ensuring that only passengers with tickets who are travelling will have access to the platforms.
