Upgrade and widening of an approximate 4.5km portion of the R44 that runs between Stellenbosch and Wellington, in the Western Cape, and through the hamlet of Klapmuts (from near the entrance to Arra Vineyards and Braemar farmstead in the south, to approximately 1km past the N1 interchange in the north), to form a divided dual carriage way, complete with shoulders and a median. The exact GPS co-ordinates are not available so the marker has been placed along the proposed construction route 33°47'10.5"S 18°52'33.0"E.
