Umsobomvu I Wind Energy Facility

Construction of the Umsobombu I Wind Energy Facility, Northern Cape and Eastern Cape. The facility will be developed between Middelburg (Eastern Cape) and Noupoort (Northern Cape) on the provincial border. The WEF will host a maximum of 80 wind turbines, each generating between 1.5 – 4 megawatts (MW) of electricity, with total combined potential power output of approximately 140MW.
