About this development
Establishment of the Umfolozi to Ncwane 88kV sub-transmission line and the Ncwane switching station. The establishment of the Ncwane switching station will assist in catering for the event of faults on the existing Umfolozi-Ulundi line. The switching station would provide a firm supply to the greater Ulundi-Nongoma-Hlabisa area and improve the voltage regulation at the Nongoma substation. The Umfolozi-Ncwane kingbird line would link and transmit energy from Umfolozi to Ncwane, KwaZulu-Natal.
