UL Security Upgrade

Construction of Phases 1, 2 & 3 of the security upgrade for the University of Limpopo on the corner of R71 Tzaneen Road and University Street, Mankweng Township, Polokwane, Limpopo. CIDB 8GB. Scope of works: Phase 1 - Guard house at Gate 1 only, new boundary line security fence clear view of 1,2km and a solid wall of 1,2km, building services (electrical, air-conditioning, water and sewer), stormwater services and earth works, landscaping, paving and parking bays. Phase 2 - Guard house at gate 2 and gate 3, building services (electrical, air-conditioning, water and sewer), stormwater services and earth works, landscaping, paving and parking bays. Phase 3 - Guard house and new entrance at Gate 4, new boundary line security fence clear view of 3,2km, building services (electrical, air-conditioning, water and sewer), stormwater services and earth works, landscaping, paving and parking bays. Gate 4 will be a mirror image of Gate 1. All entrance upgrades will include mini bus drop off points, advanced surveillance camera system and access control, dedicated pedestrian entrance and exit points, easy access of motor vehicle between visitors and staff and accessible biometric registration offices at entrance points.
