Tuschenkomst Open Pit Mine

Pilanesburg Platinum Mines currently operates an opencast pit on the farm Tuschenkomst 135 JP in the Bojanala district of the North West Province and PPM wishes to amend its current EIA and EMP to extend the Tuschenkomst open pit extension onto the farms Wilgespruit 2 JQ and Portion 1 of Rooderand 46 JQ. As part of the proposed pit extension PPM intends to establish additional infrastructure at the mine (i.e. a haul road, a communication tower, topsoil stockpiles, storm water infrastructure and bridge/s over the Wilgespruit River).
