About this development
Tumela is an operational mine located north of Northam in Limpopo. Rustenburg Platinum - Amandelbult section is proposing to develop a new shaft, (Tumela 5) and associated infrastructure. The envisaged activities include a main shaft with headgear and surface infrastructure, 2 ventilation shafts (Downcast and upcast) a waste rock dump, refrigeration plant, water management infrastructure and a main Eskom substation
