The Tshipi project, located about 20 km south-west of the mining town of Hotazel, in the Kalahari manganese field, in the Northern Cape is an advanced exploration project, with a defined mineral resource estimate of 163-million tons grading at 37,9% manganese. The mine at full capacity would produce around 2,4 million tons a year of direct, shippable manganese. To be known as the Tshipi Borwa mine. Estimated project value: R1.45 billion.
