About this development
Transnet Pipelines, a division of Transnet Limited, proposes to construct and operate the NMPP Project to supply diesel, petrol and jet aviation fuel to the inland areas of South Africa. The project includes a new 525km, 24 inch diameter pipeline, including up to 9 pump stations, between Durban and Jameson Park, in Gauteng, including accumulation facilities (terminals) at each end of the pipeline. The project value initially escalated by R2.75 billion from R12,67 billion to R15,42 billion. It has now been revised to R23,4 billion.
