About this development
Rebuild of the Umfolozi - Eqasha substation and associated power lines, as part of a suite of projects collectively known as the Ermelo - Richards Bay Coal link Upgrade. The scope of works includes the rebuild of an 11.2km long 88kV power line between Umfolozi Substation and Eqwasha Substation near Ulundi, Ulundi Local Municipality Kwa-Zulu Natal Province. The proposed Transnet Coallink Project consisting of the construction of transmission substations, upgrading of existing transmission power lines and the construction of new transmission power lines traversing KwaZulu-Natal and Mpumalanga Provinces, from Empangeni to Ermelo south.
