About this development
Upgrading of the 50kV traction power supply for the Sishen - Saldanha Railway Line on the Cape West Coast, Western Cape Province. The Sishen-Saldanha traction upgrade project involves the establishment of the Loop 18 Substation between Sishen and Saldanha. Eskom needs to construct substation and loop in and loop out lines between Sishen and Saldanha in order to increase power supply to the upgraded railway line.
