About this development
Construction of the proposed Tiger Solar Energy Facility on a site near Windsorton. The establishment of a photovoltaic (PV) solar energy facility and associated infrastructure within an area of approximately 85ha. The proposed facility is envisaged to have a generating capacity of up to 10MW and would include solar panels; on-site inverters; an on-site substation; a new 132 kV powerline; internal access roads and a workshop area for maintenance and storage. The Tiger Solar Energy Facility will be located on Portion 4 and Portion 11 of the Farm Kraanvogel Vallei 29, which is located approximately 45km north of Kimberley and about 10km east of Windorton in the Northern Cape.
