About this development
Construction of the Thua Sumpwell - Miambani water supply project in Kitui Central, Miambani, Kenya. Project cost has not been disclosed. Scope of works could include: the construction of intake facilities comprising an intake sump/relief well, a 6m x 3m security guard house, a twin pit latrine, a pumping unit with solar assembly, provision of water supply to the intake compound and fencing of the compound. Transmission lines will be laid, including a rising main from Thua sumpwell to the proposed tank site near Ndithini, a main distribution line from Ndithi Hill to Miambani, a branch line to AIC Miambani Secondary School and connections to other schools and public institutions. A 100m³ masonry storage and distribution water tank will be built to support supply, while water drawing points will be established through the construction of water kiosks. The exact GPS location is not known and the Marker has been placed at Ndithini Secondary School, Ekalakala, -0.946112, 37.3339349.
