About this development
Implementation of the Zesta Project in the Makunduchi area, southeast of the main island of Unguja, Tanzania. As part of the project a 18MW facility will be built that will be equipped with a 40 MWh battery storage system, which will be connected to a 132kV substation to stabilise the power grid. There will also be upgrading the Unguja power grid. The project value is estimated to be over US$167 million. The exact co-ordinates are currently not available however the approximate area of location is -5.8759068, 39.3511.
