Construction of a five-star, 17-storey, 166 room luxury hotel. To be known as the Taj Hotel Cape Town. An old world luxury hotel is to be developed in the landmark Old Reserve Bank building, the Board of Executors building and the old Cape of Good Hope Bank building. The hotel will include world-class gourmet dining, cocktail lounges and bars, 24-hour concierge, full room service and housekeeping, business conference facilities as well as stylish and select international retail opportunities. It will also have access to a health and beauty spa, a swimming pool, gym and wellness centre. Project value :R500 million.
