About this development
Construction of a 13-storey mixed-use building, which will include a Radisson Hotel. The development is placed directly across the road from the Gautrain station, on the corner of Rivonia Road and West Road, Sandton, Gauteng and will have the benefit of being the closest hotel to the underground station that will link commuters on South Africa's first underground railway system directly to the OR Tambo International Airport, Rosebank and Pretoria. The development is to be known as Sandton Eye. The Sandton Eye would include 5 000m² of boutique retail space, 2 500m² of offices, a 200-roomed five-star Radisson Blu hotel and 7 penthouse suites. Value of project: R1.4-billion.
