About this development
The Mindola Deeps Project located in Kitwe, Zambia, is divided into two phases; firstly to sink, raisebore, equip and commission a 2 000m deep, 6.1 m diameter shaft, and secondly to develop approximately 10 000m of primary access.The shaft will be constructed utilizing a combination of raiseboring with directional drilling and a portion from surface using a conventional blind sink. A large shaft collar and bulk cold-air intake duct will also be part of the development.
