The Brickworks Infrastructure Phase 1

Construction of services and infrastructure for phase 1 of The Brickworks Industrial and Business Estate (previously known as Avoca South Industrial and Business Estate), as part of the Investec Property logistics hub which will comprise a number of light industrial, general business and warehousing platforms, while the remainder of the site will be zoned as open space or conservation and roads. Approximately 98 hectares of the total 157 hectares of land will be leveled to form platforms and subdivided for development. The proposed development will include provincial road upgrades, and service infrastructural upgrades for water, sewer and electricity. The stockpiling of 500m³ of clay reserves is likely to be included. The site is situated on a Corobrik site, on the corner of Curnick Ndlovu Highway and Main Road R102 (MR577), in KwaZulu-Natal. Located to the north and west of the site are the MR577, Mount Moriah residential area and Corovoca Township and the Curnick Ndlovu Highway. To the south of the site is the N2 National Route and the residential areas of Avoca and Avoca Hills. Located to the east of the site is the proposed Avoca North Industrial and Business Estate site.
