About this development
Tatu City is the development of a new, world class mixed use and mixed income city centre for Nairobi, approximately 15km north of the currently Nairobi City Centre in Kenya, East Africa. It covers an area of approximately 1000 hectares and when developed it will provide a comprehensive mix of land uses, including residential, retail, commercial, tourism, social facilities and recreation and will be privately managed. The developer, Tatu City Ltd, will undertake the servicing of the land parcels for onward sale to developers. This Phase 1AA infrastructure includes roads, electricity, water, waste water and solid waste infrastructure as well as public landscaping and (possibly) some simple municipal building. The whole development is planned to take place in 9 Phases over the next 8 - 10 years. US$ 400 million is the estimated infrastructure cost for the whole development.
