About this development
Black Mountain Mining, a subsidiary of Vendanta Resources Plc intends to re-establish the Swartberg mine for the mining of lead, copper, silver and zinc for export. The Swartberg mine is located in Namakwa District, Northern Cape Province. The proposed mine lies north of the N14 highway and approximately 13km east of Aggeneys town. The proposed Swartberg Mine would also include other auxiliary components such as waste rock dump, tailings dam and surface infrastructure.
