About this development
Construction of Waterford Green, the second residential phase of Somerset Lakes – a R1.3bn secure eco and lifestyle estate in Somerset West, in the Western Cape. The new phase, Waterford Green, will consist of 48 freestanding double-storey houses. The safety and security elements of the estate are enhanced by state of the art features including biometric fingerprint access control, an electrified perimeter fence, high-definition perimeter surveillance cameras, 24 hour guarding and patrols, and an internal response system. In addition, a Curro Castle Nursery School and a convenience shopping centre, and a clubhouse, forming part of the greater Somerset Lakes development area, is also in the planning. The green belt system includes 15ha of landscaped parks, gardens and a natural forest with hiking trails and cycling tracks, and a 6ha dam ideal for fishing, rowing, canoeing and windsurfing.
