About this development
Construction of a residential complex for Sitari Country Estate alongside the N2 between Somerset West and Cape Town, in the Western Cape. The estate will be built in Cape Vernacular style and will feature a convenient shopping centre, a luxury hotel and fine restaurants. (Stage 1) The proposed development will also include 2037 residential and a number of retirement opportunities, integrated with an open space and rehabilitated wetland component. The proposed mixed-use development would also include a retail node and school component. (Stage 2). The property is located in the Helderberg area of the City of Cape Town (CCT), directly north of the N2 and the suburb of Macassar, and south of the CCT’s boundary with the Stellenbosch Local Municipality (SLM). Access to the site is from the north, namely the R102 Old Main Road. The R102 runs parallel to (the north of) the N2. The relevant segment can be accessed from the N2 either via the R310/ Baden Powell Drive (Faure), or the M9 (Firgrove). The GPS co-ordinates are 34°02'46.9"S 18°45'56.5"E.
